SIAL Paris 2026, Day 2: Negotiating Frozen Fruit Contracts and New Market Partnerships

In short: On day 2 of SIAL Paris 2026 our stand at Hall 6A, Booth F001 turned into a negotiation room. We discussed season supply contracts for IQF frozen strawberries, mango and vegetables from Egypt with existing customers, and opened partnership talks with buyers from new European countries, Asia and Australia. Below: what a frozen fruit supply contract should cover, and how to start one with us.

A day of contract talks at Hall 6A

Day 1 was about meeting buyers and showing our range (read Egy Berries at SIAL Paris 2026 – Day 1). On day 2 the conversations went deeper. Every table at the stand was busy with importers, food manufacturers and food-service buyers going through specifications, volumes and shipment calendars for the coming season.

Quality first: buyers check our IQF fruit at the stand

A contract starts with trust in the product. Buyers tasted our fruit and checked colour, cut and free-flowing IQF quality straight from the freezer display, then compared it with their current specification for IQF frozen strawberries, frozen mango and pomegranate arils.

What a frozen fruit supply contract should cover

These are the points we agreed with buyers at the stand. If you are preparing a contract with any Egyptian supplier, use them as a checklist (see also our frozen strawberry specification checklist).

Contract pointWhat we agreeWhy it matters
Product, cut & calibreWhole (15–25 / 25–35 mm) or diced (10×10 / 15×15 mm) strawberries, mango, pomegranate arils, vegetablesThe specification is the contract – it decides what you receive and how a claim is judged
Quality parametersBrix (min. 7° for our strawberries), colour, defects, foreign matter, micro and residue limits for your marketYour end use (retail, bakery, dairy, juice) sets the tolerance
Packing & labellingBulk 1×10 kg, food service 10×1 kg or 4×2.5 kg, retail 20×400 g Egy Berries bags, or private labelPacking changes cost per kg and the load per container

DocumentsPhytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, health and lab documents required by your countryMissing papers mean delays at the border
Payment termsAgreed per buyer and orderClear terms protect both sides over a full season

We do not publish prices: they depend on product, cut, packing, volume, season timing and destination. Send us these details and we will reply with an offer.

Why autumn is the time to plan season volumes

Our strawberries are harvested and frozen from December to June. Buyers who agree volumes and a shipment calendar before the harvest give us time to plan raw material, cuts and packing, and they secure supply for the whole year. That is why so many of our day 2 meetings ended with a draft season plan instead of a single order. Planning your first import? Read How to Import Frozen Strawberries from Egypt.

New markets, new partnerships

Besides our core markets – Europe, Brazil, China and Canada – day 2 brought partnership talks with buyers from new countries:

  • New European countries: importers looking for a reliable second origin for frozen strawberries and vegetables.
  • Asia: buyers interested in Egyptian IQF fruit. We are registered with China GACC, and China applies zero tariffs to goods from Egypt from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2028, subject to origin rules.
  • Australia: first conversations about supplying IQF fruit and vegetables. Australia has strict biosecurity import conditions, so these talks start with specifications and documents.
